Vanguard Nivelo Tripod Leg Hinge

Vanguard Nivelo Tripod Leg Hinge

Vanguard's tripods have pretty horrible hinges. They break super easily and aren't very lasting. I've got the Nivelo 214BK and so this is modelled after the hinge of that but it should be the same for all. Made in 3ds Max, tried to get it looking as close as I could to the original, but there are obviously some differences. The fitting is slightly on the tight side, so what I did was align the screw hole before using mallet of sorts to slowly knock it in. Once it's fully in place, just use the original screw to secure it in place. First one hinge broke, then today the second hinge broke, so now I have two 3d printed hinges. I'm just waiting for the 3rd one to break... -= Changelog =- 27/10/19 - Smoothed out the transition of the hinge so that it's less of a stress weakpoint. Updated the interior for extra rigidity. I would recommend printing at high temperatures (I use 205), for better strength, and with 4 layer walls and 4 top and bottom layers. Infill can be at 50%. I used Prusa Slicer with Supports on the bed only.
