It is possible to switch from one neodymium magnet under the poles to 2 or from 1 magnet to 0. configuration 1 magnet for both coils : classic humbucker configuration 2 magnets for both coils : classic humbucker with a warmer tone configuration 2 magnets under one coil and 1 magnet under the other : microphone dynamics which becomes intermediate between the tone of a humbucker and that of a single-coil configuration 0 magnet under one coil 1 or 2 magnets under the other : almost a single coil more or less warm. A small difference with a split mic, because the signal goes through the whole humbucker wiring.
