Cryptex device featuring a secure six-digit numerical code. This code can be modified to any value within the range of 000000 to 999999 when the device is unlocked. Update: Improved retaining ring file developed by Inglebard has been incorporated. For some users, this revised version exhibits superior performance. To assemble and use: 1. Print the required components: 1x tube_outer 1x tube_inner 1x ring_end 6x ring_inner 6x ring_outer When printing, ensure the ring pieces are flat and the tube parts face their larger ends for optimal results. Optional support may be employed, particularly for intricate pieces such as ring_outer. Next steps involve aligning a ring_inner into each corresponding ring_outer, matching notches to desired digits. The prepared sections are then attached to tube_outer with notches aligned within the slots on both. Finally, ring_end is fitted onto tube_outer with its flat side facing outwards and secured by rotating it clockwise. Once constructed, merely insert tube_inner into the completed device and enter your new numerical combination to lock it in place. Reopening is facilitated by matching the numerical code on both tube parts, after which you may retrieve the contents safely.
