GrabCAD
Version 2 of my previous design.
This now has covered barb fittings to protect them from damage, increasing the longevity of the product.
In addition, the valve was changed to a pinch valve, there is no chance of leakage with this method.
A new change, to increase the thread size I designed a fitting. This uses less material and will print quicker than incorporating it into the design. The valve fitting mounts into the body by push fit, teeth (45degree for printability) lock in to place. To stop this rotating when the valve is used, there's a guide pin. This locates the fitting to ensure the valve position is correct when installing, and is a simple push fit. This is designed to stay together when fitted, and requires no tools, or adhesives to fix it together.
Finally the thread pitch is set such as half a rotation of the valve goes from open to closed. The valve would be marked with 1 through to 5, indicating the flow rate.
As required, this uses no additional parts, requires no tools to build, all components can fit on the print bed, and be printed in 1 go.
Very easy to print, with no excessive overhangs, reliable, minimal material usage, leak proof.
