I will not be using for food but will instead use them to measure out grit for rock tumbling. I checked volume using water and it appears to match my kitchen 1 tbsp measuring spoon capacity well. FYI: US tablespoon = 14.8 mL 3 teaspoons per tablespoon Enjoy!
