Varvakeion Athena (Athena Parthenos)

This is a recreation of the Varvakeion Athena displayed at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece. I used a very small copy of the Athena to photograph with my Nikon D200. If you'd like to know more about the Athena Parthenos, please follow this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athena_Parthenos For the particular ancient copy of the Athena Parthenos I used to model: http://nam.culture.gr/portal/page/portal/deam/virtual_exhibitions/EAMS/EAMG129 I shot almost 200 photos then used Agisoft Photoscan to recreate the statuette. I'm not very good at recreating small items (yet) but I thought this rough Athena was good enough to share. If anyone wants to use it or clean it up and improve on it, be my guest. There are some incredible and talented people out there. I'm still learning how to use the many different tools in software like Photoscan, Meshmixer & Meshlab and rather than massacre the rougher models like this one, I figured I'd let someone else take it and improve on it.
