VAS Banshee Motor Mount

VAS Banshee Motor Mount

A motor mount for Video Aerial Systems Banshee plane. The original polycarbonate mount broke within a week and shipping for their metal CNC mount was ridiculously expensive. I decided to make my own mount. This is the second version, the first model broke after a day of flying/landing. You will need 7-8mm screws for this. You can use a washer before inserting the screws if you wish to add strength to the mounting point. I printed this in ABS (recommended over PLA) on 0.2mm layer height and 25% infill, and custom supports for the screw holes. It felt very strong. It was then secured in place by hot glue on both sides. Don't put too much hot glue, otherwise you will have a very tough time removing it if it breaks.
