Vase - 16 pointed
thingiverse
Experimenting with twisting lofts in Onshape, came up with this vase design. The print shown in the photos was scaled 125% in the Z direction only. My spool was binding a bit at the end, so the photo shows some cracks in layer adhesion. Printed in glow-in-the-dark (very weakly) PETG from MakerGeeks. It was on sale, so can't complain too much. Scaled might make nice LED tealight holders. Timelapse of the print: https://youtu.be/8XWSvPbybXo Print Settings: Printer: i300 Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm - 0.4mm nozzle Infill: 0% Notes: Vase mode. 3 bottom layers. No top. Yes, my printer has noticeable z-banding. It's a feature I wanted—yeah, that's the ticket. (Ball screws shouldn't do this, and eventually will find a way to minimize it—taking suggestions.) How I Designed This No apparent twist feature in Onshape so working on some experiments using the lofting feature.
