VAWT Driven Peristaltic Pump

VAWT Driven Peristaltic Pump

I've long had an interest in setting up a light footprint greywater harvesting system. This is part of the answer, I think. It's a VAWT powered bilateral peristaltic pump. The idea is to use it to refill toilet cisterns, to move water from ground level up to a header tank, or even power a trickle type water feature. Or it can do two things at once. To implement it, I modified someone elses wormgear assembly, borrowed another's coupling and added my own pint sized VAWT impeller. As is, each half of the pump would be capable of about 3-15 Litres per hour, depending on wind conditions.
