Working VAWT H-Type. 1-3,5 KW output single phase at 7-8m/s. Rpm max 90. PMG Gen from Ginlong but Xinda should be better and cheaper as I know from other projects (Xinda CH, build the Gen acc your needs like different rpm to normal costs), they also offer inverter and controller solutions. Also Axial Flux gen is possible for this turbine. Blades are from Epoxid composit, 4 layers, 45kg each. Epoxid is much better then polyester to avoid the inertia force. In three years operation I had no single problem with the turbine. The system overlife three storms with peaks over 180km/h, one of them was a kind of a tornado. Please oversize the concrete basement or use a tripod tower to avoid the VAWT typical structure vibrations and use hydraulic piston steel for the shaft. The 3dm. file is not up to date, You should change some minor details also for easyer production. I post the latest drawings (from 2014) in ACAD format for private use. This drawings include the tripod tower and a cheaper turbine head solution. You can also mix both for your own creation. I upload the files also in workbench, If you have some idea or input to the design, feel free to change it. For the latest ACAD drawings I don´t have any render or 3D model. If some one can do this for me, I will appreciate. The mp4 file was taken in the Bekaa highlands on my turbine step 2 with slight changes on the head to make the construction cheaper (the result was more ugly) but no changes on the working parameter at 4,5-5,5m/s wind and full load. And yes, its true.... you hear nothing from this kind of turbines, no noise, nothing at all.
