The Vegvisir: An Icelandic symbol with Viking Age influence, described in the 19th century Huld manuscript: “If this sign is carried, one will never lose one’s way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known.” This symbol is also known as the Vikings compass, and was a symbol of guidance and protection. The Vegvisir was believed to be drawn on Viking ships, or used as a compass with a nail through the center. The runes on the front are believed to represent the directions (North, South, East, West, Northwest, Northeast etc..). This is a 3D printed SLS amulet with the Vegvisir symbol incorporated into its face. The organic shape of the amulet with the hole through the center is meant as a tribute to old disk jewelry, which was considered a "speaking tube to the gods, whereby your pleas and prayers could be delivered to heaven".
