Vehicle's Exhaust System

A car's exhaust system was modeled in PTC CREO parametric software to perform multiple CFD analyses. Exhaust system design consists 4 in 1 exhaust manifold, 4 in 1 collector, exhaust pipe, catalytic converter, and muffler assembly. CFD analyses were performed on the design to study the exhaust gas path and to improve the exhaust system design. Inlet pipe of the catalytic converter was redesigned to reduce the flow separation phenomena. NOTE: Dimension of the parts are not accurate, it was calculated from general rules of exhaust system design. Some assumptions were also made during the modeling of the system. If anyone wants to get accurate results from this design, it is highly recommended to create their own design.
