I wanted a transparent door for my Velleman Vertex K8400 printer. This kit contains hinges, a no contact magnet lock, some assembly time mounting clips, and instructions for making the acrylic glass door itself. http://youtu.be/BnveS9R1kpo Please scale prints to 1/10, as this is a Sketchup design. All parts are in millimeters. For you with access to a suitable CNC of any sort, a drawing of the door itself is kindly posted by wreutz:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2317942 Instructions For further instructions please see:http://youtu.be/BnveS9R1kpo Please scale prints to 1/10, as this is a Sketchup design. Cut the door out from 4 mm acrylic glass or similar. Use the front panel as a template. Cut the door at least 1.5 mm smaller than the opening in every direction, as it is mounted in flush with the front panel. Use a file to smoothen the edges. Polish to make them shine. The hinges are fastened to the front panel with two hexagon socket M5 x 16 mm screws, two M5 washers, and two M5 locking nuts. The hinges are fastened to the hatch with four hexagon socket M5 x 12 mm screws, and two M5 locking nuts. The lock requires two ø10 x 2.5 [mm], (coin shaped), neodymium magnets, two M3 x 10 mm flat head screws, and two M3 locking nuts. And for a click free operation, some PVA-glue in the magnet compartments. (For those of you who have a Clas Ohlson shop near by, their art nr 31-1467 are the magnets that i bought.)
