This is for the Veo 2.0 Camera Tripod. Allows you to have a mounting base for 3/8" or bushing it down to 1/4", standard in the photo world for accessories. I found I always needed a third hand when setting the stand, as you needed to watch the "phone" to ensure you had the field, being recorded, in proper view of the camera. Usually adjusting the tripod (up 20ft high) required two hands. By mounting the phone to the base of the bottom telescoping segment, means the mounting point doesn't interfere with the legs or telescoping segments. I put it on and leave it. I have heard others complaining of needing a place to mount their hot spot devices near the camera, so the multi mount version allows you to have both a phone and a hot spot mounted to the base of the stand. Flange on the bottom is required to give strength, otherwise the sleeve will flex to much and not hold well. Also there is tapered fluting on the ID of the sleeve, this is account for the ribs on the Veo Cam stand, and help lock it in place. Version History 1.0 was initial prototype. it was meant to just be a shelf to set the phone one, but had strength issue and dimensions were off for the flutes causing addition warping/distortion (First Attempt In Learning aka FAIL, lol) 2.0 much stronger, dropped shelf idea for 3/8" threaded connection, thread scale slightly off and not 100% filled. also bushing had a flange, so wasn't recessed. bushing initially stripped out and needed glued in. Also two outer flutes were in slightly wrong location causing one to always be misaligned. 2.1 Corrected fluting alignment. Added 100% fill to thread and scaled down slightly for better thread engagement to bushing. Forgot to account for flange on bushing. 2.2 scaled thread down slightly again and added countersink for bushing. 3.2 Added three mounting points verse the one.
