Verdun sock knitting machine cast-on basket base

This disc will be threaded with 36 identical loops that will hang off the needles of an early 20th century hand-cranked sock knitting machine. It should speed casting on with the machine, as well as provide a sturdy base for weights. The center hole will have a loop to hook on weights. While my machine is a Verdun (non-auto), it should work for any other machine, including Legare, Erlbacher Gearhart, AutoKnitter, or others that use cylinders, because the diameter of the disc is significantly smaller than the inside of the cylinder. (Pictured is a 72-hook cylinder. There should be one hole for every two hooks in the cylinder, and then a center hole.)
