** This is version 3 of the silicone mold for the CR-10 Stock Hotend/Heatblock** After a while of printing PETG in my original hotend for my CR-10 I started having issues with heat creep and jamming, so during the process of cleaning out my hotend, I ended up swapping nozzles from the original mk8 to an E3D nozzle. Since the E3D sits much closer to the heatblock (+z of about 3.5mm), adjustments had to be made. Since my last version I've ditched Tinkercad and moved to Fusion360, so the F360 exports are available in this version for other tinkerers to make their own adjustments as needed. Since it's much easier to do in parametric design, I also made sure to fillet/chamfer as many hard edges as possible for easier printing accel/jerk movements. I'll be including the original nozzle-length version here as well just for simplicity's sake. === This is a mold for making Silicone Sock insulators for the original stock heater block shipped with the CR-10, with a few additional options. You'll need a high-temperature silicone to work with, either a two part mixture, or an RTV single part will work. [I used this kind](https://goo.gl/ud9dpR) Other supplies: - Latex gloves - Disposable bowl/dish - Dish Soap - 2x M3 12mm screws - Optional but very helpful: [1½" Ratcheting C-Clamp](https://www.amazon.com/IRWIN-QUICK-GRIP-Handi-Clamp-4-59400CD/dp/B00005RHP0/) Check [this post](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2848281#tips) for instructions on how to use this mold **Check out my other socks for other hotends:** - [Version 1 - CR-10 Stock Hotend](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2848472) - [Version 2 - CR-10 Stock Hotend](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2879204) - [Generic OEM E3D Hotend](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2848281) - [Generic Mk8 Hotend](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2848480) - [Generic Mk10 Hotend](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2848485)
