Hey All, This is my final submission. I have uploaded .step files, one with only bracket (bearing excluded) and other with bearing. There are supplementary files for convenience. Final weight of the part is 300 gm. Surfaces are optimized to take minimum supports. Even the hole in the neck of the bracket is in tear drop shape and doesn't require supports. Due to inherent uncertainty in dimensional accuracy in laser based AM process, machine allowance is added to the part. Fillets are added wherever there is possible chance of delamination during the build. Fillets prevent concentration of thermal stresses during the manufacturing process. 'As built part' might require machining to remove some support structures and also to give proper surface finish at the regions where bolt head lays on the part. Print Files: Use file 'Print Without Bearing.step' to print the bracket using laser based powder bed process without bearing ring. Use file 'Print With Bearing.step' to print the bracket using laser based powder bed process with bearing. Desired print direction is shown in one of the images. It is positioned on the platform of the additive manufacturing machine such that '4 holes for bolts' lay flat on the platform. I am attaching images for convenience. Other files are supplementary.
