Vertical Blinds Valence Brackets

Vertical Blinds Valence Brackets

This is a set of brackets that allow for the attachment of a wooden trim valence around a vertical blinds support rail. The brackets fit over and lock to the valence clips that come with the blinds. The brackets are designed to use flat head 1x10 wood screws to secure the wooden trim to them. The brackets are somewhat adjustable to set the distance out from the blinds that you want the valence to sit. This distance will determine the length of the wooden side pieces. Plan carefully. The holes for the locking screws are self tapping. It is best to drive the screws in slowly to avoid melting the plastic. Since these are precision parts to fit the valence clips it is highly recommended that you thermally calibrate your filament before printing. Use one of these two calibration clips to do so. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1037301 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2502677 The full bracket collection is uploaded along with the individual bracket files. They are oriented for printing to provide the greatest strength around the clip and the screws. I suggest they not be reoriented as you can have the layers peel apart under force. The prototype pieces have lasted over 6 months installed with no sign of failure or stress.
