After much experimentation on various types of mounts for the Immersion RC FatShark 600mw transmitters, I finally developed one that I liked enough to share. The goals were: 1) To get the clover leaf antenna as high above or underneath the airframe of the quad as reasonably possible. Antenna mounts in multiple orientations, up or down, etc.. 2) Strong & light, but not too overly engineered. 3) TX LED visible 4) Provide plenty of cooling for TX 5) Flexible for varios multirotor or quadcopter airframes 6) OpenSCAD 7) Somewhat aerodynamic 8) Print with out supports (well I cheated somewhat on this, you can to print out the slip in TOOL to assist) This TX mount is designed to go onto aluminum 15.5mm HomeDepot towel rack bar that I use on my H quad, which can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:190912. If you use a FatShark FPV TVL 600 CCD camera, you can use my http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:227037 to mount to the bar as well. NOTE: There are still a few little tweaks I want to make, so I might be updating in the future. Instructions OPTIONAL - Make the TOOL first. 10% infill, .2mm layer height You can then use this TOOL as support for the opening of the mount. While you don't really need it, it just makes it much cleaner. For the mount, 20% infill, 2 shells, .2mm layer height Pause the mount print around 68%, insert the TOOL about 4cm or 1 inch into mount opening. Continue the print. Once the print is complete, remove the support TOOL. Like I mentioned on description page, you don't really need to use the tool if you don't with, it still works fine on my Replicator 2, just have a few loose filament threads.
