Laevataein, the secret city of the Ljosalfars, is situated on a plane accessed by misty portals. To access it, a "Knower of the Paths" is needed: a Vegsvin. They are mysterious and feared creatures that human peoples see as bad omens. The Ljosalfars are ancient and warrior people. The gods Frey and Idun bestowed them with the secret city Laevataein which is always covered by mists, It’s entrance is situated in the forest of Snowdom.
