VersaPlanetary gear boxes from Vex Robotics are a compact way to increase gear ratios for power on FIRST robots. But, Vex does not make an adapter that allows FTC teams to use these. Our FTC team designed this adapter that bridges the gap! We used these on our robot for our lifter in 2015, and we went all the way to the World Championship! We hope other teams find them useful as well! Note that you also need a metal collar adapter for the output shaft of the DC motor to allow it to interface with the VeX VersaPlanetary gear input (aka "sun") gear.
