VEX Robotics Competition | VEX U | PYRO Robotics This 3D printed VEX license plate holder allows teams to quickly flip their license plate to the desired alliance color at a moment's notice. I created this after getting tired of having to deal with finicky, easily-lost VEX IQ pins or rushing to unscrew a nut or bolt that is securing our team's license plates. While designing this model, I was conscious of avoiding the use of support material when printing, so there is no support material needed as long as the models are oriented correctly. This is version one; I do wish to revise the models in the future to be more compact to fit more tightly in the limited space of teams' VEX robots. Despite not being as compact as I would like, this current version is more than functional and did what our team needed it to do at the 2019 VEX U World Championship.
