Posting will be updated as I create more Soft Jaws for the various vices in my personal and professional life. These are designed to quickly slip over the existing steel jaws of a vice with very little effort. Originally I had designed the jaws with a ton of little teeth which can be seen on MMsoftjaws1 but after my computer almost lighting on fire trying to model ~1million faces I decided that it was a little excessive. My second try (MMsoftjaws2) yeilded better results that were much more friendly to my computer and will probably be more useful to myself. Regardless I decided to include both of them and you can decided for yourself which will be best for your application. Soft Jaws 1 and 2 were made for my 5" Morgan Milwaukee vice (P# 1115106) I realize that the chances of you having the same exact vice are pretty slim so I will be including .STEP files along with .STL files so that you can easily modify the design to fit your needs. I would love to see makes and remixes so please don't hesitate to post them and share your experiences!
