To generate CAD files from 3D-scanned eyeglasses, the team began by importing the scans as challenging mesh data. By employing multiple 3D sketches and surfaces, they traced the meshes to create a solid body. The initial Lens Holder attempt was decent; however, further research online led to an improved final model. This project provided valuable experience in handling complex free-form shapes and utilizing surfaces. Comparing the results to the original mesh data reveals significant progress.
