Viflex Glasses Prototype Design

The team wanted to create CAD files from common eye glasses that were digitized using a 3D scanner. The scans were imported as meshes, which are difficult to work with. I essentially used several 3D sketches and surfaces to trace the meshes and create a solid body. For the Lens Holder, I made an initial attempt that was decent, but later looked online for other methods, I eventually was able to create the final model seen above. This was my first experience creating such complex free form shapes and also gaining experience with the use of surfaces. But I am very proud of how the parts ended up, especially compared to the initial meshes (which can be seen in the file).
