In a recent one day build by Adam Savage on Tested, he demonstrated the use of a Viltrox L116T - DSLR Studio LED. ( This light is quite cheap ~€25, and can be powered by battery or 12v 1,5A ( edit: I stated 2A but 1,5A works just fine, tested with lab power, draws 1,3A max ) I combined it with an "Microphone Suspension Scissor Arm" by Neewer ~€15 And designed this attachment mount to convert the Flash/trypod mount of the light to the Microphone arm. It's clamped in place by 3 M2 bolts and nuts. ( with rings ) My main use will be for Painting Miniatures and extra light in my humble "electronics lab" ( witch is a mess right now :'( ) I hope this thing will give you some nice Ideas, it was good practice for me.
