Vintage Model Rocket Launch Pad

Vintage Model Rocket Launch Pad

Vintage model rocket launch pad, upper and lower sections, similar to one that I owned and used in 1970. The design allows for battery powered 6 volts DC or 12 volts DC operation (four D batteries or eight D batteries respectively) or the launch pad could optionally be wired for external power connections. These two sections lack the exterior detail of the original. A launch rod pivot assembly and a vintage launch controller are available in separate downloadable designs. This design is still a work in progress. Brass battery contacts for the launch pad will have to be fabricated. Refer to the links below for illustrations. Both sections have been printed to confirm battery fit, and both were printed without supports, with the interior of each section facing up. The bosses in the lower section should be tapped carefully for the screws that secure each battery contact. Avoid over-tightening the hardware when installing battery contacts.
