This probably won't be in the top 10 for # of downloads, but maybe someone can use it. I inherited my father's Craftsman radial arm saw which he purchased new in the late 60's/early 70's. For several years, the factory on/off switch has been on it's last legs and it finally wouldn't turn on about a month ago. Of course, that switch is no longer produced, and due to it's unique design, I couldn't find a compatible replacement. So, I made a mount that screws into the factory holes on the rounded top of the arm which allowed me to mount an outdoor switch box (that I cut a hole in the bottom), and ran the wires up to a safety switch. (I had to splice in longer wires to reach the switch) I know it looks pretty stupid, and might not meet UL code.;) but for the couple times a year I use the saw, it's good enough for me, and works fine. And it's MUCH easier to E-stop than the old switch that I had to fight with to either turn off or on. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
