Wife is building a garden using the smaller 1.75 X 2.75 vinyl fencing. The garden is inside out existing vinyl fenced yard, so she needed a way to mount the new fence railings up to the existing posts. That is the 90 degree flat bracket. She also wanted a gate that is cattycornered at a 45 degree angle at the corner of her garden so it would look nice and she could put a vinyl arbor over it. Since the gate needs to be flush with the posts to close properly, the posts for the gate would end up putting the corner of the posts to the end of the fence railing. This is the 45 degree bracket. The railing can come straight towards the corner post and mount flush. The fence rails are only 8 feet long and she needed to cover a 10 foot span. I cut some 2x4 wood down to size and slid them into the rail ends to join 2 pieces to make up the distance without having to dig another post hole. The sleeve covers that union joint.
