Vinyl Siding Mounting Standoffs

Vinyl Siding Mounting Standoffs

thingiverse

I designed this standoff to mount a TV to an outdoor covered patio wall with vinyl siding. The standoffs prevent your siding from being crushed when mounting something to your exterior wall. The center hole is 9mm in diameter and designed to fit a 5/16" lag screw. Simply use a keyhole saw to cut a circle the size of the smaller cylinder in your siding and slip the mount in the hole. The larger cylinder will sit outside the siding and gives a stable place to mount something to as well as preventing the mount from falling behind the siding. If being used in a place that isn't already protected from rain it is a good idea to caulk around the mount as well as in the screw hole.
