Violin Redressal Bridge Tool

To setup a new bridge blank, for an acoustic violin, one needs to shape the feet of the bridge to the face plate (convex surface of the violin). The procedure is to: 1). remove the strings, 2). remove tail piece 3). put a sheet of 220 grit sandpaper on the face plate (grit up, of course). 4). Put the bridge into the tool and adjust the height, so that the beam of the tool is parallel to the face plate and the bridge is perpendicular to the face plate. 5). move the bridge/tool back and forth until the feet take the shape of the face plate ( don't remove too much material from the bridge blank). Hardware: I used (2) 5mm bolts, (4) 5mm nuts and 5mm threaded rod. A tool, such as this, can be found on Amazon for around $15.00. I've also included a template that should help to illustrate the bridge feet profile for a 4/4 DZStad violin.
