Hot air leaving the combuster first passes through the guide vanes and then through the turbine blade (buckets) producing power for the compressor. Part of the air from the compressor is bled into the turbine shroud to provide cooling air for the turbine bearing and disc before going into the exhaust section centre again providing cooling.
