Vita Sorter (Pill Sorter)

My wife takes a bunch of different vitamins every day. She like to sort them into little plastic bags for the morning and evening so they are easily available and she can take these "vita-packs" with her when she travels. Sorting and getting the vitamins into those little bags was a total pain so I created a sorter/dispenser to make it easier. You simply place the pills into the slots and then rotate the spindle while holding a bag under the dispenser. I have included a short and tall version of the spool but you can easily create any spool height needed. The design still has some bugs as the pills sometimes get stick in the dispenser (especially multiple gel-coated capsules) I just use a small rod to push them through. The spindle rotates via a small ULN2003 5V stepper motor (you could also just rotate the spindle manually). I put in a simple Ardunio controller module to run the stepper motor using a touch switch on the left side. The design is still a work in progress but it works so I am not sure if I will do another iteration.
