Vive headband mod side clips

thingiverse

This clip replaces the clips on the sides of your Vive to allow you to add a custom headband or anything else you can dream up. I went through several revisions of this before finding a design that worked. 3D prints of this size are hampered by strength and easily break along layer lines. The clip that comes with the Vive had tiny little clip arms that lock into place, impossible to replicate in a 3D print with any strength. To solve this, I created a full "tube" that slots in and had two protrusions that twist-lock the print in place. Print Settings Printer: Zortrax M200 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .09 Infill: Max Notes: Printed at .09 in ABS on a Zortrax M200. May require modification for other printers and weaker plastics likely won't work. Supports generate under the locking lugs, easy to break away with a small flathead. You could probably add an angle to remove supports altogether, but I'm not sure how well this would lock in (would probably be fine).
