Volume Dialer II
thingiverse
Here is a fresh approach to creating a custom USB media volume dialer that's sure to impress. I wasn't thrilled with my previous attempt, so I decided to start from scratch and redesign the entire project with a focus on simplicity and ease of use. To give it some extra heft, I added iron ball bearings sourced from AliExpress as weights. The result is a more substantial device that feels solid in your hand. Here are the components I used: * A rotary encoder for precise volume control * An aluminum dial with a 4.8mm diameter (also found on AliExpress) * A Pro-Micro board from diymore.cc, available on AliExpress If you're interested in seeing how my previous version turned out, you can check it out here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2935913. For those who want to dive deeper into the project's code, I've made the source code available here: https://notfound.dk/2018/05/volume-dial-ii/.
