The tool was originally designed to hold a laser pointer so that it could highlight the direction of where the crank pulley is pointing in relation to the Alternator pulley. This should work with the AC pulley too. The laser pointers beam doesn't fire concentrically to the laser pointer enclosure, so a straight bar of around 10mm diameter would work instead. The notches in the print are for a rubber band to hold the bar or laser pointer. The X6 6mm holes are for magnets, to help keep the tool located on the pulley.
