VR Ears Angled Spacer and Replacement Spacer

VR Ears Angled Spacer and Replacement Spacer

thingiverse

VR Ears is a product designed by Rebuff Reality. VR Ears are "Off ear" headphones (Ear Speakers) designed from the ground up for VR Headsets. They made an awesome universal adapter that holds the headphones off ear. For me personally, they hold the speakers too far away from my ears. This project represents my first attempt to remedy this problem. The theory was that if I angled it enough, it could swing it closer to the ear. Unfortunately, I don't think this theory holds up in practice, once these were printed, they end up holding the speakers farther away from the ears. Ultimately, my next attempt will be an entirely new attachment that is less thick. My hope in sharing this is that if anyone else is interested in these files, they may find them useful. If nothing else, I designed a replacement spacer in case someone lost or broke theirs, that's attached in these files as well. You can see in the picture attached the intention of the design, hope it's useful for someone, cheers! Disclaimer: Your VR ears comes with an extra spacer that you may not need. Try using this spacer's clips on this after you print and remove support materials. The clip should actually snap into this if it printed correctly. No sense in risking putting the VR ears clip into it if you can't get it out easy. If this doesn't hold your VR ears snug enough, I don't take any responsibility since printing strength varies by material used and layer adhesion. use at your own risk.
