I'm doing the metal dash conversion on my 74 Standard Beetle. I don't want to weld the passenger facing vents shut so I opted to make some plastic vents instead. These just glue into place on the dash. I used a dab of super glue but I'm sure something like e6000, rubber cement, etc. would work as well.
