I am doing the metal dash conversion on my padded dash 74 Standard VW Beetle. To do this, you take the back of the existing padded dash door, remove the front of an old metal dash door, and join them together. The catch is the latch holes don't line up so most people weld the holes and recut them. I'm lazy and I don't own a welder so I just designed this trim bit that hides the old latch hole. Yay!
