I never liked the old VDO clock that came with my '73 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia - it kept malfunctioning and rarely showed the correct time. Well, it stopped ticking for good! To give you an idea of how to build your own tachometer gauges, I designed two components to hold both the front and rear printed circuit boards of a cheap "Dragon Gauge" unit.\nPrinting version 2 in transparent filament creates a unique effect - the entire face lights up with blue light... although it's somewhat overwhelming without another layer of tint over the LEDs, so make sure to find some.
