This has been a pet project of mine for a few weeks now; I originally started it to learn how to do surface modeling in Solidworks and well, it kinda spiraled out of control very soon after that. However, since I've other projects on table I haven't been able to work on this in awhile and I thought I'd share how far I got in case someone else wants to use these files as a base for something else, or remix or even finish the RC side in this. :) Currently the chassis is pretty much done; it features opening doors and hatches, as well as working side door slider mechanism. A lot of inspiration for the steering and suspension came from OpenRC projects;http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:42198 so a lot of thanks for these folks! Things that needs to be designed still; Shocks/springs, rear suspension, powertrain and motor/servo/battery mounts. It's meant to be RWD and clumsy as the real one ;) tires can be printed out from flexible materials such as NinjaFlex and otherwise hardware used is pretty common 10x4x3 bearings, some 3mm and 1mm studs/rods and M3 screws. Included are Solidworks .STLPRT files for easier derivates and modifications. AS FOR NOW, THIS IS MODEL IS NOT READY FOR RC BUT CAN BE PRINTED AS A DECORATION MODEL. RUN THE FILES THROUGH NETFABB FIRST IF YOU INTEND TO PRINT IT.
