VW MK2 Syncro Adapter Plate

This is a version of the adapter plate. This will allow you to swap the rear beam from other Syncro VW's (Passat, Golf, etc.). This plate is the same offset as the Passat. v2 is 25mm forward to help center the wheel in the wheel well. V3 is 19mm forward to adjust centering of the wheel yet again UPDATE : The first print failed due to inadequate support material for the forward tab. it was otherwise a great print with a very good surface finish and structurally sound with only minor modifications needed to be made to the design. Primarily the placement of one hole is about 5mm off ( Its hard to measure some things when they are odd shapes ). Print Settings Printer: FolgerTech Cloner Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Infill: 3D Honey Comb Notes: I used both Slic3r and Cura with varying results. The first print failed due to a failure in the support materials for the forward tab. It otherwise turned out great. How I Designed This I am in the process of converting a front wheel drive VW MK2 Golf to all wheel drive ( aka Syncro). One part that is needed is an adapter plate to mount the rear beam that supports the rear differential and suspension components. I purchases an aftermarket set of plates as the OEM plates are made of unobtainium and cost $$$ to find used. But... like most aftermarket "Copies" this one did not fit. The mounting surface was not correctly placed. So.. after having little to no help from the manufacture... I decided to go about FIXING the problem. I used drafting skills to draw this up, then converted them to an object in 123D Design. Or at least I tried too, I'm just new to 123D Design. I would fathom to say that 98% of the object matches up with the GOOD dimensions of the original piece, all to be tweaked until I have a useable part. The mounting surface (The large round slanted piece) I have left as a separate object in my original 123D Design file, as it is the piece that needs to be tweaked the most to get the desired results. After I am happy with the placement, fitment and finish, I will be making aluminum casts of the parts to be used on my car. There will be obvious changes to the design to add support structure such as gussets where needed.
