Walkera Ladybird Frame

Walkera Ladybird Frame

Our Walkera Ladybird crashed very often when we were learning to fly. Though the Ladybird is very robust, its frame gave way in the end. So I designed a printed frame to replace the original one, and while I'm at it, I designed a double battery holder so you can carry two batteries for longer flight time. Tip: Use a rubber band instead of the battery holder to save weight. Change Log Made a stronger but heavier version of the top frame cos ppl were crashing hard and breaking the frame. Widened the battery carrier to keep it from breaking. Decreased the dual battery carrier height cos sometimes it touches the ground. Instructions The frame is made of two separate printed parts: the top and the bottom. Print both parts at 0.1 mm, 50% to 100% infill, without supports. The ends of the top are designed with pads to prevent curling. Snip them off with some snippers. The bottom has supports incorporated into the design. This is to prevent the top bridge from sagging and obstructing the battery. Simply snip of the supports after printing. The bottom is made flexible to accommodate the battery. The top then snaps on to the bottom and held by friction. Slip in the arms and screw on the controller board without the original rubber mounts.
