Walkera Ladybird Main Frame Replacement

Walkera Ladybird Main Frame Replacement

A replacement for the centre main frame of a Walkera Ladybird. My first Ladybird receiver stopped working (It would not bind, and this seems to be a common problem). After disassembling the Ladybird, I found my main frame had cracked, and I did not like the way the receiver pcb was a structural member of the frame. My belief is that a dry joint has formed on the pcb due to the flexing/stresses of being run into things etc. So I designed a new frame with the intention of having the PCB isolated from any loads. Marked as WIP as I may change the design to more securely fit the PCB. Instructions Should be printed on it's side, should be orientated correctly in the file. I recommend putting an AA battery through the centre hole as the arms are a tight fit, and if you slip it will cut the motor wires. The AA battery acts as a convenient stop, and you can make sure that all the arms are pushed in an equal distance. I am currently just sticking the board down with a 4 tiny pieces of sticky back foam (as seen in the picture). although this is problematic as I find I tear the foam off as I unplug the battery.
