We've had a rescue puppy for about 2 years now, and one of the challenges we have is that he lost all movement in his rear legs with very little in the front ones. To complicate matters, he is a 70lb rather large pup. We went through several wheel chairs, and wheel chair designs. The one he seems to be able to be put in the easiest ended up being very expensive (Walkin' Wheels). We ended up also needing to order the front wheels as the wheelchair is too heavy for him to be able to walk with. The main challenge we had from there - is no way to mount arms on it to make it easier to help him walking by pushing. After many experiments and builds, I was finally able to get a mount for standard sizes that allows the mounting of push arms. You will print: - 2 of each (left and right) You will also need: - A Walkin Wheels wheel chair - A large dowel or something for the handrail - 2 large wooden stakes (the cheap 1 x 2 inch pointed stakes you can get at an any store) - Some screws and bolts. I made this for M5x50mm bolts, M5 washers and M5 nuts (I bought a 15 pack of the bolts, 30 pack of the washers, 15 pack of the nuts) - A little bit of patience This lets me now run with the pup and has been great at helping him walk again Print with a very thick infill. But the plastic is, realistically, stronger than the wood.
