Walkman AAA Battery compartment (ultra compact)

A simply to print and ultra compact external battery compartment for the Sony Walkmans (i.e. WM EX-678) and Minidisc Players of the late 90s and early 2000s. The Walkmans that where designed to run with the so called 'gumstick batteries' where equipped with external battery contacts for screw-on adapters (photo) that accepted AA batteries. My design is for AAA batteries and is much smaller (65mm x 17mm x 13mm) than the original adapter (71mm x 13mm x 22mm). Assembly: Just add 2 'battery clips' one flat and one with a spring with soldered on stiff wires. The wires are pushed throu the left and the right hole on the bottom and make contact to the extrenal battery connectors of the walkman. The battery compartment is screwed to the walkman with a M2 screw throu the hole in the middle. You also have the opportunity to fix the battery using a small zip tie (picture).
