I designed this model to help me store my soft pad for playing Dance Dance Revolution. I used a French cleat design so it's easy to take it off the wall when I need it and quick to put it back. There's a hook below the main cleat to hold the cable so it's hidden behind the dance pad and doesn't hang to the floor. The wedge on the wall plate is wider than that on the dance pad plate so you don't have to line up anything exactly—you can just throw it on the wall. All functional edges are rounded for a pleasant feel. The wall plate has a countersunk screw hold because that's what I had on hand. If you have Autodesk Fusion 360 (educational license available), you're welcome download the .f3z file and adjust this. This was designed for use with the Konami-licensed pad for Wii (with a GameCube connector on the end). The other plate attaches to the black control box at the top of the pad. It was designed to be thin enough so you can use the existing screws holding the control box together. Simply unscrew the 4 long screws, hold the plate in place, and screw them back in. Using the same screws means they won't thread as far in the control box, but it's still enough to hold it together. I hope you find this interesting or useful, and if you have one of these dance pads and make one, please add a Make and attach an image!
