Disclaimer: Please do not try this at home, unless you know what are you doing. I shared all the files needed to make one, however I do not reccomend more than 3 boards at one section. If you pritn this out of PLA.

I used cheap PLA because I cannot afford anything more expensive. However if you have a CNC I bet a wooden one would be ok, as long as you take grain into consideration. There is a stress point where the tiny holes are, this is where the part will elongate and bend.

Also I made the tolerances 0.5 mm on the parts so you can glue them With PVA glue if you made a wooden version. Or use superglue if you made it form plastic. My plastic one at home, that I just installed does not use any glue, as this is still in prototype phase, as I can decide later to take it apart - so I only used the struts. As you can see I have put 4 skateboards on this and it hold it ok, but the plastic starts to bend away form the wall. I will perform one year test to see if it deforms more over the time. I would have designed it sturdier, but I had a limitiation of my 3D printer bed size and cost of the material. As I am on a tight budget.

The holes are for welding wire, but if you can afford stainless or spring steel wire that will work fine too. Just cut it to size and slide it in to lock pieces in place. I made small chamfers on the end so that the wires can be pulled out if you change your mind.

Make sure to have L bracket at least once in each wall - to stop it from rocking sideways.

After instalation no screws are visible as the covers sit in place with two drops of glue.

I will advise towards glueing the part and then pinning them in place, and wait until it is fully cured, however in that case you wont be able to take it apart. So please dry fit it first before you decide to glue it.

There is two different size screw holes to choose form or you can install both.

If this is display only its ok for plaster walls, however if you want to put the skateboards on and off daily from it - please consider mounting this properly - For example a plaster board would need a wooden block from the other side and a long screws to hold it in place. A brick will need proper tight fit, and in case of cavity, anchor should be sufficient. Please ask someone who is specialized in mounting heavy items to the walls is you are unsure.

It took me two weeks to print all the parts, and it was about 60£ in material cost.

It took me about two days to design in fusion 360.

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/jW-3vC6sEyE"></oembed>
