Wallet for Flexible Filament with space for Tile
thingiverse
I thoroughly enjoyed @makerseth's design but wanted to add some space for my Tile, so I created the model from scratch using Fusion 360. In my first print, however, I made a mistake and set the diameter of the circle to show the tile at 27mm instead of the intended 16mm. Fortunately, I've fixed that in this STL without re-printing. The wall in front of the tile is only 2 perimeters thick, which might be too thin but seems to work for now. To ensure its stability, I plan on trialing it out for a couple of weeks and making any necessary changes along the way. In the pictures you can see that a single bill, 5 bills, and 11 bills all fit snugly in place without falling out. However, with only 6 cards inside - my usual carry - they stay put just fine. To prevent this from happening in future designs, I plan on adding retention areas to the updated design within a week or so. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Mk2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: .30 How I Designed This I used Autodesk Fusion 360 to create this design, starting with a sketch that included some fillets before extruding each section to the appropriate heights. To add an extra layer of protection around the cash area, I added 3d fillets but opted not to do so elsewhere. A 16mm hole was punched in the center of the Tile holder, carefully designed for Ninjaflex 1.75mm filament with a .40mm tip and a .48mm extrusion width. This model was sliced using Simplify3D.
