A 3 part yacht model based on the famous Wallypower 118 yacht. The model is split into 3 parts to make use of the flat surface that the printers bed will leave. This flat surface becomes the deck when the bottom of the hul is turned 'upside down'. I use this model to teach my BA (Hons) Modelmaking students how to use our 3d printers and how important it is to split models into parts for better prints.
