wanhao duplicator 4s z-axis-brace and bushing
thingiverse
I built a bracing system specifically designed to enhance prints produced by the Wanhao Duplicator 4S, effectively minimizing z-axis oscillations and distortions. Initial print attempts were marred by the appearance of strange swirls and rounded waves in multiple images. Upon implementing my design, however, these imperfections noticeably disappeared, replaced by smooth, well-defined lines as seen in a subsequent photograph. To achieve optimal results with this bracing system, follow the instructions below. I constructed the brace itself from ABS material at 70% infill levels. It's recommended to maintain a slow print speed when utilizing this design - I opted for a pace of 45mm/s but suggest considering rates between 35 and 40 mm/s as more ideal. The bushing housing portion was reinforced with supports, whereas the entire bushing itself was printed from PLA at full infill. Avoid printing either component using a raft to maintain a sleek appearance and preserve print quality.
